“All roads that lead to success have to pass through hard work boulevard at some
point.”
— Eric Thomas
A proud honors graduate of Texas Tech University, Jessica’s journey to Wohlstand
Wealth Strategies reflects years of hard work, diverse experiences, and a lifelong dedication to excellence.
For much of her early life, Jessica could be found behind a microphone—whether leading teams or
performing as a touring musician. Singing before she could talk, she grew up performing country music
throughout North Texas, often turning anything she could into a makeshift stage. After completing her
bachelor’s degree, she moved to Austin and joined a national tour, performing at Austin City
Limits and the historic Ryman Auditorium for the Grand Ole Opry—a
dream realized. Along the way, she met and married fellow musician Seth Walker, her husband
of more than 23 years.
When life off the road called, Jessica brought her energy and leadership to new ventures, including medical
practice development, and running her own successful sales and development business. As the daughter of
small business owners, she had long understood the challenges of entrepreneurship—an experience that would
later shape her career in financial services.
In March 2020, a serendipitous turn led her to the financial industry just as the world was changing.
Seeing the uncertainty her business-owner peers faced, she found her purpose in helping families and
entrepreneurs protect what they’ve built and plan confidently for the future. Today, she’s known for
providing sophisticated, forward-thinking strategies that empower clients to preserve, enjoy, and seamlessly
transfer their wealth. She jokes that while the microphone has been replaced with financial literature,
she’s still speaking to audiences—just with a different message.
Jessica’s commitment to excellence has earned her numerous awards and distinctions, including qualification
for the MDRT– Court of the Table.
Above all, Jessica is most proud of her family. She and Seth have three children: Charlie, Jack and Ellie.
Outside the office, Jessica embraces the best of life in New Braunfels—whether paddleboarding, fishing,
doing CrossFit with her boys, or gardening. She dedicates much of her time to leadership and service roles
in her community, as Chair of the Women’s Business Alliance, Treasurer and Executive Board Member of the
Brauntex Theater and Performing Arts Center, and Alumni and Steering Committee member for Leadership New
Braunfels. She dreams of one day owning a mountain retreat to escape the Texas heat, but for now, she’s
content with good books, game shows, and enjoying quality time with her favorite people.
Jennifer dreamed of being an entrepreneur. In fact, nine-year-old Jennifer could be found in her
room running a travel agency or cutting out pictures from JC Penny magazine for her fictitious interior design
business. That bug never left her, even as she engaged in her teaching career. In 2017, Jennifer took a
significant leap to pursue her passion and joined the world of financial services.
Upon transitioning, Jennifer swiftly recognized the pressing need for simplifying financial concepts for
the public, making them accessible and understandable to all. She was able to combine her love of
entrepreneurship and talent for teaching to create a lasting impact on local businesses and families, while
earning notable recognitions along the way, including being a member of MDRT* and most recently being
recognized as one of the 2025 Top 50** Best in
State Security Professionals by Forbes Magazine.
Jennifer spent four years on the management side of financial services, hiring and developing career
changers into financial professionals. As fulfilling as that role was, Jennifer longed to be back in the
field, working with her own clients.
Most recently, Jennifer, in collaboration with Jessica Walker, co-founded Wohlstand Wealth Strategies, LLC,
a forward-thinking wealth advisory firm dedicated to providing personalized financial solutions.
Jennifer has been a New Braunfels resident since 2003, settling here shortly after graduating from West
Texas A&M University. Jennifer began what would be a 14-year teaching career that would lead her to receive
a Masters in Education from Texas State University.
She has two teenaged daughters, who keep her on her toes. Addison, 19, is a freshman at University of
Nebraska- Lincoln and a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Emmi, 14, is a Varsity Cheerleader and involved in
the school’s FFA program. Her first project animal is a lamb named Skippy!
In Jennifer’s spare time, she plays pickleball and is the reigning champion of her fantasy football league,
the Rattler Rejects.
